Season of Disney: Samantha Brown’s Favorites – Review
Samantha Brown’s Favorites profiles 15 of her “favorite” Disney Park attractions/restaurants.
Fortunately, the show is all new – this is not just a collection of clips from her previous shows – unlike her Hotels of Hawaii special.
It is the typical Samantha Brown Disney travel show. In addition to profiling the attractions, she provides a few Disney tips such as how to use Fastpass or meet the characters at Epcot (because visitors tend to see the characters at the other parks). The show is evenly splits the featured attractions between Disneyland and Disney World. It is no mistake that the show profiles rides that appear at both Disneyland and Disney World (Tower of Terror, Soarin’, and Turtle Talk with Crush) but even so, there is plenty of time devoted to each park.
The restaurants featured are naturally the most upscale in the Parks – the Napa Rose, California Grill, and – briefly – Jiko). Andrew Sutton of Napa Rose is featured to demonstrate the fresh and unique ingredients used to prepare meals.
The program is not a presentation that most will seek, but will be of interest to Disney fans or those planning a trip. Nonetheless, if this is an example of the shows to come, the “Season of Disney” will be entertaining and informative.
