First HD-PVR Unboxing Pics!! With BeyondTV Support
Update 7/16/08: Extremetech has a review of the HD-PVR that you can read along with this site’s quick impression.
Update 6/20/08: Hauppauge has issued new drivers that are available for download. Soon we will see if BeyondTV will work with the new drivers.
A picture is worth a thousand words – or so they say.
Well, below are the first unboxing pics of the Hauppauge HD-PVR (model 1212). Also, a card from BeyondTV was included.

The device itself is plastic, but is feels rather sturdy and is light. In the box with the HD-PVR is a component video cable with right and left RCA audio. An LED for IR repeating is included along with a remote control (batteries included) and a USB cable.

Not yet. I intend to install the HD-PVR presently and use it with my DirecTV HD receiver as part of a review for the site.
got mine monday, very nice, does a great job on recording of video, they got problems with the optical out right now, so no 5.1 just either PCM 2.0 through the optical or 2 channel analog with the RCA in, thats a bummer, when your finished capturing, you edit or put chapter stops in, author on normal DVD for Blu ray playback (10min) then burn, plays great on my PS3, by the way just for test purposes only I hooked this up to my PS3 component out, does a great job testing backups of blu rays.
