HD-PVR – Now has Dolby 5.1
Hauppauge has posted beta drivers for Dolby 5.1 audio through the SPDIF port. The SP/DIF port is an optical port for those who may not know.
The drivers were installed on a computer running XP and BeyondTV. When the SP/DIF connection was previously used only static would be heard. Now, the sound is crystal clear! This is a welcome development as using the RCA connection brought out ground loop hum. Simply, the drivers work.
