Battlestar Galactica – An Adam & Eve Allegory Part II

In this article here Season 4 of Battlestar Galactica was referred to as a possible Adam and Eve story.  That still may hold to be true.  Now that cylon centurions have been returned to full mental capacity, they are rebelling – killing those who enslaved them.  This seems to be a repetition of the earlier rebellion against humans.  However, it sets up the plot device that can lead to diminishing cylon numbers such that only one will remain.

Perhaps this is the Genesis story in reverse? After all the murder of fellow cylons is much like the murder of Caine by Abel.

I just thought that the two cylon hybrid kids could end up being the only two survivors on earth, becoming adam and eve (sort of). that would also nicely fit in with the repeated mention of “all of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again”, since the two kids will be the origin of a new humanoid race, starting from scratch.

That is a possibility. But how old will the children be when this happens? There will likely be at least one adult that remains alive to care for them.

Of course the cylons are treating each other just as the humans once treated the cylons. Perhaps that is the meaning of all this has happened before, and all of this will happen again.
